he second time in his career. The first was given out last August when he was playing for the Hagerstown Suns in the South Atlantic League which was a former affiliate of the Giants. The brand new design has not been revealed yet, but the 20,000 gnomes that will be produced will definitely be a reason to make anyone “Fear the Garden”.

Brian Wilson dawned his alma mater’s colors once again for the big college football match between top ranked LSU Tigers taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide. Wilson, who played collegiate baseball for LSU, sported the team’s complete football jersey with number 38 on the back.

The All-Star closing pitcher appeared on ESPN’s “College Game Day” to make picks

for a number of games. His logic for the picks, might not be the most analytic, but it was great TV to be seen. For example, Wilson picked Vanderbilt to win and his reason was, “I’m a huge fan of sea captains. I’m gonna have to go with the Commodores.” AS for the South Carolina vs. Arkansas match, “Never bet against the Cocks. I’m going with South Carolina.”

The great debate that will go on forever has now gone viral. What is the greatest basketball team of all-time? The great of people of 2K Sports, the ones behind the new NBA 2K12, decided to ask some celebrities who they think it should be. People ranging from Michael Jordan to Drake are all giving their reasons for who they think it is, but none is funnier than that of San Francisco Giants All-Star closer, Brian Wilson.

Wilson explains why he thinks the 1985-86 Boston Celtics are the greatest team ever assembled in the NBA. He pointed out the greats that were on the roster such as Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and

Robert Parrish. Showing his knowledge in the history of the team as well, stating the home record of the team in both regular and postseason.

But there were some reasons that people might not have known before Brian Wilson made it apparent. “If you were to take all those players and put them into a blender of greatness, you would get a strawberry milkshake, because they are sweet,” shares Wilson. Finishing it out with “Their mascot is a leprechaun. Who doesn’t like leprechauns?”

Brian Wilson’s season has come to an end, but despite a battle with an elbow injury towards the end of the season, The Beard still had yet another remarkable year. Being named to the National League All-Star line-up was big for Wilson, including the fact that he got the save as well in the mid-season classic.

Wilson finished the season with 36 saves to his name with a 3.11 ERA. He also earned six win, which is the most of his career, while putting out 54 batters with strikes. The Beard also only gave up 50 hits, which is the least amount of hits he has allowed since the ’07 season.

But with Brian Wilson, it is not only just the stats that matters, it is also the laughs along the way. From the Back to the Future kicks, to the unmatched outfit that he wore to the ESPY’s, we all salute the man known as The Beard for a great year that he had.

Sitting in the dugout, the bearded one was sporting the brand new Nike Air MAGs that was recently being auctioned off for the benefit of Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

They light up in the same way that they do in the movie, but no, they don’t lace themselves up just yet. Wilson reportedly bought two pairs in support of the noble cause, and everyone seems to agree that those Nike Air MAGs looks pretty good with the beard.

Giants Reactivate Brian Wilson

With the season coming closer to an end, and the Giants in the middle of a race for a playoff spot, Brian Wilson was activated and immediately showed that he is in top form. After being on the disabled list for a little less than five weeks after the hurt his elbow, Wilson came into the eighth inning and struck out the first two batters he faced.

Throughout the entire time that the All-Star Closer was on the DL, he was very quiet to the reporters about his injury. Before the game though, Wilson finally

shared some words to the print reporters saying that his focus is still about this season, and not next year’s.

“I’m not worried about 2012, and the Giants shouldn’t be worried about 2012 either,” Wilson said. “That’s why I’m activated today. We’re not eliminated. I don’t care what percentages you talk about. There’s still baseball left. There’s always a chance, especially when you get to play (Arizona) again.”

The Giants are just five games behind the Diamondbacks in the National League West.
